Prayer and Reflection of the Week: Prejudice

Dear Lord,
Help us today to show an acceptance of others, made in the image of God, as unique human beings, each one special.
Helps us to be people without prejudice, who care and love others as we care and love ourselves.
Today, helps our words be spoken kindly, our deeds done with compassion and how we behave sprinkled with thoughtfulness.

‘Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.’
Philippians 2 vs 2

'If you judge people you have no time to love them.'
Mother Theresa

'Prejudice is a mist, which in our journey through the world often dims the brightest and obscures the best of
all the good and glorious objects that meet us on our way.'

Prayer and Reflection of the Week: Tolerance

Dear Lord,
Help us today show love and kindness to others.
Help us today to put others before ourselves.
Help us today to be selfless in thought, word and deed.
Help us to love our neighbour as we do ourselves.
Help us to be a light before others Jesus.

‘So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.’
Matthew 7 vs 12

'Tolerance is the mindful capacity to love, respect, accept the differences that make people unique. This tolerance
exists so that all people can live in harmony without the exclusion of one over the other or the will of the few
disaffecting the lives of the many.'
Byron R. Pulsifer

True love means infinite tolerance for each others differences.

Prayer and Reflection of the Week: Success

Dear Lord,

Help us to work hard, to focus on what we need to do at school and be successful.

Thank you that we belong to a successful school, with fantastic teachers and staff.

Only hard work, dedication and perseverance will help us to achieve goals and be a success. Lord, give each one of us the strength to reach our full potential.

And, help us to support one another and spur each other on so that we can be the best we can be at school, at home and
in our community.

Finally, God, in every task, with your help and guidance, help us to do it well.

‘This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth,
but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to
do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way
prosperous, and then you will have good success.’
(Joshua 1 vs 8 ESV)

“You Learn More From Failure Than From Success. Don’t Let It Stop You. Failure Builds Character.”

"Success is a state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as a success."
Joyce Brothers

Prayer and Reflection of the Week: Sharing

Father God,

Thank you for those who share; bless them richly, Lord.

Let us live following the example of Jesus who gave so freely his time, energy and love.

Help us to share what we have freely without want or expectation of anything in return.

Holy Spirit, be with us in all that we do and remind us to be thoughtful, generous in spirit and kind to all we meet.

Thank you for giving us Jesus, Father God, showing us our worth to you.

Thank you, Lord.

‘You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the
flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.’
(Galatians 5 vs 13 NIV)
