Located within walking distance from the Town Centre, our extensive school grounds, facilities are available for hire, outside of school hours and during school holiday periods.
We have fantastic facilities including large halls, modern sports and creative arts spaces, as well as classrooms, meeting rooms and other spaces that might suit your requirements, including specialist rooms for Art, Science, Music, ICT and Food Technology should these benefit the clubs and activities you wish to run..
All spaces are well equipped for meetings, conferences, sports events, dance, exercise and community based activities and current users are satisfied with what is on offer.
Accessibility:
Selwood Academy has good accessibility throughout. There are three accessible toilets, including two with hoist systems. All main areas are accessible to wheelchair users with most rooms located on the ground floor and other rooms accessible via a lift.
We are pleased to be able to offer the services of Cleverchefs to provide catering for your event or meeting. Cleverchefs can provide anything from a light refreshment, teas and coffees, to a full sit down meal, all at reasonable prices. (Subject to availability)
Safeguarding & Child Protection:
The welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults is paramount at all times. All activities must conform to our safeguarding statement and we will ask to see a copy of your policy where relevant.

3G Pitch

Selwood Academy's state-of-the-art 3G pitch was officially opened in April 2019. The new facility was made possible thanks to the investment from the Premier League and FA Facilities Fund, which is delivered by the Football Foundation.
This is a great development for Frome, offering a brand new all-weather pitch along with floodlighting and goals to suit every age range.
The facilities accommodate many local youth and adult clubs as well as friendly matches with local organisations from the surrounding areas. It hosts teams from all over Somerset and Wiltshire for match days over the weekends.

The pitch is available for hire from 5:00pm until 10:00pm, Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 10:00pm during weekends.
