Having travelled extensively with the army, and needing to move my family with me, I have truly recognised the importance of a welcoming, strong, and effective education environment. I also strongly believe that this does not rest solely on the shoulders of the education providers. Having worked closely with both parents/guardians and young people/vulnerable adults in previous volunteering roles with the scouting movement, and as a welfare officer in the military I feel that I would be well suited to a role as a trustee, to offer support to the academy on its current exciting trajectory.
Previous roles have seen me having to conduct quality assurance during times of policy generation, and the implementation of existing policies. Whether it be health and safety, training delivery or service delivery for example.
I am a strong, driven individual who remains grounded and steadfast at times of high operational output, and I welcome the opportunity to support the board of trustees and the wider academy if they desire.
I have a background in training and training development and welcome the opportunity to enhance my skill set by supporting the academy in a myriad of ways.
