Georgina Guy
Parent Support Advisor
Hi my name is Georgina Guy and I work at Selwood Academy as a Parent Support Advisor. My main role is to offer support to you and your child to get the very best from your school providing support, advice and information. I can also help with worries in relation to your child’s education, behaviour or attendance whilst offering trust and impartiality, whatever the problem. Therefore if your child is having difficulties at home or at school you may wish to contact me to discuss the issues. I will be able to offer a link between the school and home to work together to help resolve problems, it may be that we need to look for more specialist help from other agencies. I would be able to advise and assist you on where to get help and be there as a listening ear. I work Monday to Friday, 0845-1245, if you need to contact me you can call me on 01373 462798 (main switchboard), or just come into school. Parent and Family Support Advisor
Hi I’m Aly Kempshall, Parent and Family Support Advisor (PFSA) for Selwood Academy. As a parent of two children I understand the difficulties that both parents and children can encounter. I can offer impartial support, advice and guidance to parent and carers of children at Selwood Academy. This is a school-based service that provides free and confidential support with: Parenting concerns, school transition, school attendance, healthy lifestyle, confidence building, mental well-being, relationship issues, bereavement, bullying, benefits/housing, behaviour management and signposting to specialist services. Parenting is not an easy job and sometimes things can get tough, I am here to support you to get back on the right track and be the listening ear that you sometimes need.
