Selwood Academy Shine at Somerset County Cross Country Championships
On Saturday 18th January, nine Selwood pupils proudly represented the Mendip District at the Somerset County Cross Country Championships — with their finishing positions placing them among the best in the whole of Somerset for their age groups.
Held at RNAS Merryfield, the course was tough, with challenging conditions and ankle-deep mud in places. Every Selwood runner showed determination and resilience to complete the race.
Our pupils delivered some fantastic results, with Year 8 runners competing against Year 9 athletes and rising to the challenge brilliantly.
